After a 13 year medical practice in Mumbai with children & parents, my love for longitudinal studies and writing have brought me to this portal (2007 - until date).
Formal training in writing, public health, qualitative methods, research and longitudinal studies: Masters in Medical Anthropology, University College London 2011-12. Projects: Stuart Low Trust, Islington Mental Health Centre, UCL Medical Students awareness seminar.
Speaker at patient awareness seminars: Mumbai, Pondichery, Baroda (India), London (UK), Poznan (Poland), Luek (Switzerland), Hamburg (Germany).
I'm looking to write about recovery, rehabilitation, healthcare, research and medical culture. Children and young adults are my favourite subjects, though parents or parents-to-be are definitely a familiar audience. Downs Syndrome, ASD and other special needs subjects have been on my clinical radar for more than a decade as well.
My second book "After Keisha Before Keisha" is due to be released with a major publisher/distributer in India later this year. The main themes are recovery, rehabilitation and disability.
